STABBING: The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office has pending battery charges for the suspect in a weekend stabbing at Carter Off-Road Park.

A man is being held in the Saline County jail in connection with a stabbing at Carter Off-Road Park early Sunday morning that left one man in serious condition.

At about 1:30 a.m. Sunday, 19-year-old Memphis Ketelsen of Alexander stabbed the 19-year-old male victim at the off-road park on the Pulaski/Saline County line.

Ketelsen was located by the Bryant Police Department, arrested on unrelated charges and placed in the Saline County jail, the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

Ketelsen has a hold for the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office and has a pending first-degree battery charge in the stabbing incident, the statement said.

Carter Off-Road Park, located in Alexander, is an off-road adventure playground for riding and racing ATVs and trucks through mud and over obstacles. Helmets are recommended but not required, although glass bottles are strictly prohibited. A large sign at the entrance declares that attendees must “sign waiver and pay here.” The park will host Carterfest Thursday though Sunday this week.

The park is located in both Pulaski and Saline Counties.
